Tech Packs, Workbooks & Size Specs

From a simple t shirt to the most complex design, accurate and informative size specs and tech packs (or workbooks) are the key to controlling your production. These documents contain the information your factory requires to manufacture, label and package your garments. Any question your factory may have should be answerable in the tech pack, and the accompanying size spec should include finished garment measurements in all sizes for the pattern grader, machinist and quality control inspector to follow.

The tech pack and spec serve as insurance against poor quality and ensure your garments are manufactured exactly as your request.

Tech packs and size specs can be built according to your design requirements for cut and sew products or fully fashioned knitwear. I can build custom templates for your brand or work to existing formats in Excel or Illustrator.

Your tech pack will include the following:

• Garment construction requirements including stitch type and quality

• Fabric and trim quality, size, weight and estimate for each colourway

• Labelling and packaging requirements and positions

• 1st sample size spec with measurement positions

• Sample comments template

• Graded spec template with tolerances
